The North Quincy Banned Book Club summer meeting is on July 22th at 7 PM at the North
Quincy Library. At the bi-monthly meeting, the group discusses the reasons for each book's challenges or bans, the history of each of the books, and the content of the book itself.
For July, the club will be discussing the number one banned book in America, Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe, currently. This graphic novel is a memoir written and illustrated by the author. The story follows Kobabe's journey to adulthood while exploring gender identity and sexuality outside of the gender binary world.
