The good troublemakers of the South Shore are hosting a postcard party for Lisa Field. Lisa is running to be the Democratic nominee in the special election for the 3rd Bristol Representative seat, representing Taunton and Easton. Attendees at the postcard party will be sending postcards to registered Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters to remind them to vote in the election.

This election is to replace the late Carol Doherty, who represented Taunton and Easton in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. The Democratic primary for the 3rd Bristol special election is on Tuesday, May 13. If Lisa is nominated as the Democratic candidate Her Republican opponent in the general election on June 10th will most likely be Taunton City Councilor Chris Coute. This is going to be a tough election in the middle of the summer, which is why it's vitally important that we remind Democratic voters to get involved and stay engaged in this race.
The 3rd Bristol district can be tough for Democrats to win because Taunton and Eastern tend to vote conservative locally. Special elections have historically seen poor turnout among Democratic-leaning voters. The election being conducted in the middle of the summer will also contribute to a low participation. The postcard reminders are a key part of the voter outreach effort to ensure as many Democrats vote in this election as possible. Your help is greatly appreciated. Please consider joining us on May 16th at Panera Bread in Hanover.
