Hello Marshfield DTC Members
I hope you are having a great new year despite everything that's happening on the political front. The reason I sent you a text is that as a member of the Marshfield DTC, we've got a lot of work to do in town. The tone of Marshfield town politics has taken a dark turn, and it's largely being driven by the online forums. The committee needs to get serious about making sure that every Democrat votes in April's town election. To talk about what can be done, I scheduled the DTC meeting for January 23 and scheduled a Day of Action on February 1st to do voter outreach. More details on these events and a link to this month's campaign newsletter email are below.
The Marshfield Democratic Town Committee is hosting the first DTC meeting of 2025 on January 23, 2025, at 6:00 PM in person at the Ventress Library or virtually via Zoom. The meeting includes an update on the veterans coat drive, the Day of Action, the food drive, the GCA process, voter outreach for the April election, and growing the activist base. Please attend and RSVP so the committee can have an accurate estimation of the number of people attending.

The committee is organizing a Day of Action to promote the food drive. Participants in the Day of Action will invite voters in their neighborhood, therefore boosting awareness of the drive. If you participate in the day of action, you will receive instructions, a contact script, an invitation to the event, and a contact list for 50 Democratic households in your neighborhood. The invitation also includes information about upcoming town meetings and elections.

The Marshfield Democratic Town Committee is hosting its second food drive to benefit the Marshfield food pantry. The Pantry has been around for over 35 years, providing a vital service to 200 of Marshfield Residence in need of assistance. Please consider donating food and supporting the 2025 winter food drive.

The first campaign newsletter email of 2025 has been sent. Included in this month's email is an MBTA zoning forum hosted by Halifax DTC on Wednesday and a volunteer recruitment phone/text bank hosted by Marshfield DTC on Thursday night. Plus a lot of other cool stuff. (Banned Book Club and People's March)
