2024 Civic Engagement

The Marshfield Democratic Town Committee is working on changing the tone of politics with the 2024 voter outreach campaign. The theme of the campaign is "Do good often!" and the committee is doing this by hosting six civic engagement events per year. Last year, the committee collected 12 grocery carts full of non-perishable items and over 500 coats for homeless veterans. This year, the committee is kicking off the campaign by recruiting a team of volunteers to help on the Marshfield clean-up day on April 27th, followed by a blood drive on May 25th to help the American Red Cross. The committee would greatly appreciate you helping us and recruiting your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and family members to help make Marshfield a better place to live. (Join the outreach team.) Last year, the committee started this voter outreach program with a food drive for the Marshfield Food Pantry, where the committee collected over 12 carts of non-perishable food. The committee followed it up with a winter coat drive for veterans in December, which collected over 500 coats. The committee will continue these two events plus four more.

with a voter outreach program whose theme is "Do Good Often!" The committee is doing this by hosting six civic engagement events, which are mini-volunteer opportunities. These volunteer opportunities are easy-to-do activities that take less than an hour to complete. They include donation drives, clean-up efforts, and community outreach. The new calendar adds four more events to the two successful events hosted by the committee at the end of last year.

You may have seen "Do good often!" lawn signs around town or been invited to participate in a civic engagement

The committee is kicking off the civic engagement calendar with a blood drive and trail cleanup volunteer opportunities in the spring. In the summer, the committee is hosting a beach clean-up, followed by a back-to-school supply donation drive at the end of the summer. The schedule finishes the year by repeating our successful efforts in food drives and veterans coats. You can volunteer to help by filling out a short questionnaire and telling the committee how you would like to help.

Neighborhood Outreach

The committee's neighborhood outreach program promotes the donation drive in Marshfield. You can join our team of volunteers by inviting 50 of your Democratic neighbors to donate to the event.  The invitation can be delivered however you feel most comfortable. The committee provides a

contact list and invitations in a wide range of formats. You can send your neighbor postcards, deliver invitations to their door, call them on the phone, or send out the invitation electronically to your neighbor. We would love to have your help with this.
