Marshfield Engagement events

Things have been very busy in Marshfield around the pro-democracy movement. Our Democratic town committee

teamed up with Sneakers Laced Up and put together a hands-off rally in the center of town that attracted quite a few people. The online Forum trolls really did not appreciate the fact that there are people in this town that disagree with them.

This weekend the effort continues with a civic engagement event to support the DPW's town-wide cleanup effort. I think it would really frustrate the Forum trolls if we were able to get a large group of people together this weekend to take part in the cleanup effort. If you are able to help out, please RSVP online.  (Click here) If you cannot make it this weekend, invite friends to the event and share the content from the event when it's posted. This civic engagement event is all a part of our effort to do good often.

Marshfield DTC Caucus

Next Saturday, April 26th, is our official caucus for the State Convention. The committee needs all members to attend in order to pick delegates to the state convention in Springfield. Volunteers are needed to help with the sign-in table; if you're available, shoot me an email (email: Bowes3@yahoo.com). This year the caucus is limited to only in person. If you are coming, RSVP online so I can get a headcount. (Click here)

This year the caucus is a little bit different because the committee will be voting on two delegations. In addition to the party convention, the committee will be responsible for selecting delegates to a state senate district caucus. Some of you may have heard that our Democratic State Committeewoman Celia Nolan has taken a job as the Southeast Regional Director for the Massachusetts League of Women Voters and had to step down as our state committeewoman. As a result, the Plymouth in Norfolk Senate District needs to have a caucus to elect a new state committeewoman. After the state caucus, we will have a second caucus to select delegates to the Senate District caucus. For this reason, we need all members to attend the meeting on Saturday, April 26th, from 1:00 to 2:00 at the public library.
