Marshfield Election
Information
We have an important special election coming up in Marshfield on Saturday, July 25th (8 AM to 4 PM) at Marshfield High School gymnasium. The special election is to fill the Select Board VACANCY, which has 21 months remaining on the term. Early voting for the special election will take place at the town clerk's office in town hall from July 6th through July 23rd during normal business hours. Please make a plan to vote for our good government candidate on or before July 25th.(click here for more info).

State Representative?
The town of Marshfield is represented by Democrat Patrick Kearney in the 4th Plymouth and Republican Ken Sweezy in the 6th Plymouth, respectively. Patrick Kearney's district includes precincts 1-3 and 5-7 of Marshfield and includes parts of Norwell and all of Scituate. Ken Sweezey's district includes precincts 2a and 4 of Marshfield and includes parts of Halifax, Hanson, Pembroke, and all of Duxbury.

Jessica worked as the chief of staff at AfghanEvac, a nonprofit dedicated to keeping the promise the United States made to its Afghan allies. She previously served as Deputy Director for Communications and Engagement in the U.S. State Department’s Office of the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts (CARE) and worked on veterans and immigration issues in the office of Congressman Bill Keating (MA-09). Prior to that, Jessica was the director of communication at the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP).

Republican Ken Sweezey represents the 6th Plymouth District at the state level. During his first term, his only notable accomplishment was backing pro-ICE legislation. (About Ken) The 6th Plymouth district is made up of different parts of the towns of Pembroke, Marshfield, Halifax, Hanson, and Duxbury. (click to see district map)
Need your help
Summer life is busy in Marshfield, so having a special election in July is a problem because it can be a low-turnout election. If this election is a low turnout, we will lose, and the chaos will continue in Marshfield town government.
The average Marshfield voter living in the sixth Plymouth representative district does not know that they have a MAGA Republican, Ken Sweeney, representing them at the State House. They also don't know that on November 3rd they have the opportunity to elect a great progressive Jessica Bradley Rushing.
