Coordinated signature drive
Democratic candidates seeking to be on the September primary ballot must collect signatures from voters on their nomination papers. Signing the nomination papers is a crucial aspect of the election process. Candidates who do not collect enough signatures will be excluded from the Democratic Primary ballot and will be unable to run for office. Signing a candidate's nomination papers does not mean you support the candidate, simply that you think they should appear on the ballot and have the opportunity to run for office. To make it easier for you to sign everyone's nomination papers, the Middleboro, Pembroke, and Plymouth Democratic town committees are teaming up to offer coordinated signature drives the third week in March.
If you are a Democrat or non-affiliated voter, you can sign nomination papers for any Democratic candidate. The coordinated signature drives are a one-stop solution where the committees will have nomination papers for everyone running on the Democratic ballot for people wanting to sign them. The Middleboro signature drive is on Wednesday, March 18, in the morning at Oak Point in the ballroom. On Saturday, March 21, there are two drives: in the morning at the Pembroke library and, in the afternoon, the Plymouth library. If you would like to attend one of the signature drives, please sign up online to help the team allocate resources.

Signing nomination papers for candidates is a really big help to getting our Democratic candidates on the primary ballot. You may need to sign between 7 and 10 nomination papers based on the district you live in. The whole process should take less than 15 minutes. Please reach out to all your friends and anyone in your network that's politically aware and ask them to participate in the coordinated campaign signature drive.
