Do good often!
The Marshfield Democratic Town Committee is working on changing the tone of politics with the 2024 voter outreach campaign. The theme of the campaign is "Do good often!" and the committee is doing this by hosting six civic engagement events per year. Last year, the committee collected 12 grocery carts full of non-perishable items and over 500 coats for homeless veterans. This year, the committee is kicked off the season by recruiting a team of volunteers to help on the Marshfield clean-up day on April 27th, followed by a blood drive on May 25th to help the American Red Cross. The committee would greatly appreciate you helping us and recruiting your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and family members to help make Marshfield a better place to live. It's a Wonderful Life
Every year since 2008, former state representative Jim Cantwell has been hosting a free showing of this
holiday classic the weekend before Christmas. This year Jim is cohosting the screening of "It's a Wonderful Life" with Bret and Michelle Hardy at their movie theater, the Cameo Theater.

Veterans Coat Drive
The committee is once again hosting a year-end Veterans Coat Drive on Saturday, December 28, at the public library. In 2023, committee members and members of the community collected over 500 coats
and winter clothing. This year the team is collecting donations of gently used winter clothing that includes mittens, gloves, scarves, hats, and jackets. Additionally, we are looking for new t-shirts, underwear, and socks. Donations can include all sizes for adults and children as well as any gender. If you're interested in helping, please stop by the public library between 10 am and 2 pm on Saturday, December 28th.

Special Town Meeting
The Town of Marshfield will be holding a special town meeting this month to vote on questions that will directly impact
the town funding of a lot of vital programs. The meeting is on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Marshfield High School Auditorium and Gymnasium. Please plan on attending and invite everyone in your neighborhood to do so as well.
