The GCA aims to counter the corrupting influence of the Republican echo chamber in
American political discourse by establishing a grassroots movement for the 2026 election. To support the GCA process, the team put together the to-do list for activists interested in getting involved.
Committee outreach
The first task on the to-do list is to reach out to your local Democratic Committee and get involved. The success of the GCA process relies on every town, ward, and city committee engaging voters through neighborhood grassroots networks. Please reach out to your local committee chair, attend a meeting, and volunteer. You can find the full list of Democratic town committees at the Massachusetts Democratic Party's website.
Civic Engagement Events
The GCA aims to counter the corrupting influence of the Republican echo chamber in American political discourse by using civic engagement events. These events are mini volunteer opportunities hosted by local Democratic committees. Marshfield is planning two winter civic engagement events: a veterans coat drive in December and a food drive in February to support the Marshfield Food Pantry. The next task on the to-do list is to donate to these drives but, more importantly, invite people in your network to participate.
Political Engagement Events
This winter, two political engagement events are scheduled to support the civic engagement events.
The Day of Action in December is a neighborhood outreach effort to promote the veterans coat drive. Volunteers are needed to do outreach to 50 Democrats living in your neighborhood.
In January, a volunteer bank is scheduled for contacting volunteers from the 2024 campaign. Attendees will be calling or texting volunteers to encourage them to get involved in 2025 and invite them to a special event.
