The Marshfield Democratic Town Committee announces its fourth annual food drive to benefit the Marshfield Food Pantry. The fall food and winter coat drive are part of the town committee's voter outreach effort for the 2026 election season. Four times a year the committee hosts mini volunteer opportunities that live up to our motto, "Do good often." We invite you to participate in the food drive this year, which will be on Saturday, October 31st, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library parking lot in front of the food pantry. The committee is looking for nonperishable food items to give to the food pantry.

Venue: Liberty Plaza Parking

Address: 1837 Ocean St, Marshfield

Date/ time: October 31 10 to 2 pm

The committee is working to improve the tone of political debate by hosting a series of volunteer opportunities that improve the community each year. To promote the civic engagement events, the committee does neighborhood outreach to the Democratic base by inviting them to participate in the October food drive. This type of outreach builds a positive image of the committee among voters in Marshfield. If you'd like to help, there are two ways to get involved.

The Democratic town committee is looking for volunteers to help collect food the day of the food drive. Volunteers are asked to work for two hours. The volunteer activity includes greeting donors, unloading automobiles, and sorting and categorizing donations before they are transported to the food pantry. Shifts include the setup starting an hour before the event and breakdown an hour after the event is done. (Click here to Volunteer)
