This year is a nominating convention where Democrats will select who should appear on the September primary ballot. To attend the caucus, you must be a registered Democrat and resident of Marshfield. You can attend in person or virtually, but please register online. Doors are at 9:30, and you must be signed into the caucus by 10:00 a.m. when doors close.

If you are interested in being a part of the process that shapes the direction of the Democratic Party in Massachusetts, you are strongly encouraged to attend. At the caucus attendees will be voting on who to send as part of the Marshfield delegation to the statewide convention.  Registered Democrats will select from nominated candidates the day of the 2026 caucus. To be considered as a candidate for one of the 30 delegate seats, you must attend in person or virtually.  Please consider running to be a delegate to the convention.

Delegates to the convention will vote on who should appear on the ballot in September and who gets the official endorsement of the Massachusetts State Democratic Party.  The offices that delegates will be voting on are US senator for the 2nd Massachusetts senate seat and all constitutional offices.  Constitutional offices include governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, state treasurer, and state auditor.  Candidates for any of these offices must receive 15% of the delegates' attendees' votes at the convention to appear on the ballot in September.  Any candidate winning a majority of delegates' votes will receive the official endorsement of the full state party. Being a delegate to the Massachusetts 2026 nominating convention is very important and has a direct impact on the direction of the party.

Help us get the word out by sharing this content.

Attending the Marshfield DTC 2026 caucus and sharing caucus related content with your network raises awareness and empowers your neighbors to get involved. To be successful, we need to get a large crowd to show up to the caucus . If you are unable to attend in person, you can still help spread the word about the election and rally. Without a local newspaper, it is difficult to let our neighbors know about the election and ask them to support Democratic candidates. That is why sharing content in your personal network and neighborhood about the rally is so important.  Below are instructions on how to send invites via email, text, or post on social media platforms.

Email your network

A great way to help is to email an invitation to the Democratic. To make it easier for you a PDF file has been created includes information about the Democratic. You can email the pdf as attach or print it out to give to people. (Click here)

Social media

Sharing the content on social media platforms is always helpful. There are two ways you can do this: either by sharing an image or a post from the committee. Below is a link to the image and the posts. If the content has not been posted yet, there will be a date when the post will appear, so check back at that time.
